At Miette, we believe that every guest deserves to feel welcome, comfortable, and supported. While Miette is a boutique property designed with style and relaxation in mind, we are also committed to making our accommodation as inclusive and accessible as possible.

Physical Accessibility

Miette was completed in 2024 with modern design principles that support ease of movement. The property is located just off Yackandandah’s High Street, with mostly flat access from the street to the entrance (one small 100mm step). Interiors feature wide hallways, open-plan living, and step-free transitions between the downstairs spaces. The downstairs bedroom offers a walk-in shower with wide access. Please note that the second bedroom is located upstairs. Polished concrete floors provide smooth surfaces throughout. Please note that bathrooms include walk-in showers but are not equipped with grab rails or specific mobility aids.

Families and Children

We welcome families with children and provide practical touches such as a cot, high chair, games, and pool towels for the Yackandandah town pool, information on local playgrounds, and suggestions for family-friendly activities in our guest compendium.

Language and Communication

To support international travellers, we are able to provide written information in multiple languages using translation tools, and our digital compendium is designed for clarity and ease of use. We have already welcomed overseas guests and are continuing to improve resources to ensure communication is clear and inclusive.

Dietary and Lifestyle Needs

Our fully equipped kitchen allows guests to cater for their own dietary requirements, and our compendium includes information on local suppliers.

Commitment to Inclusivity

Our approach to accessibility is an evolving journey. We are committed to listening to guest feedback and improving where possible, ensuring that every visitor feels valued and included. If you have specific accessibility needs, we encourage you to contact us prior to your stay so we can make arrangements to support your comfort.
